This is the ultimate East African safari, designed to showcase the best of Kenya and Tanzania with the emphasis placed firmly on first-class travel, international cuisine and high-standard accommodation. The adventure begins in Nairobi at the famous Norfolk Hotel, traditional starting point for all the safaris in colonial history; you will visit Karen Blixen’s Museum and have lunch served at the Giraffe Manor on Day 2.
You will fly to the world-renowned Amboseli reserve to overnight at the Tortilis Camp. Next you will fly back to Nairobi, and proceed to the Mount Kenya Region by road to overnight at a “tree” hotel. From here, you take in the elegant Mount Kenya Safari Club on the slopes of the magical Mount Kenya before flying to the famous Masai Mara to savour the charming Mara Explorer.
From here, you will fly via Nairobi to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania to proceed by road to lovely Lake Manyara, home to the unique tree-climbing lions and pink-frosted flocks of flamingos where you will dine and overnight at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. Next comes the unique experience of the ‘land that time forgot’ of the incredible Ngorongoro Crater where exclusive game drives, crater walks, sundowners and picnics will be laid on.
Your journey then takes you via the Cradle of Mankind at Ol Duvai Gorge into the vast rolling plains of the spectacular Serengeti National Park where game viewing is second to none and the vistas are some of the most breathtaking in the world. Finally back to Nairobi via Arusha by flight to enjoy a last night at Norfolk prior to your departure. You will have a farewell dinner at The Carnivore.
